Exchange students are covered by the Student IN insurance. This insurance covers:
- Emergency medical care in case of illness or accident.
- Emergency dental care (pain and infection relief, provisional filling of cavities and ensuring a functional biting area).
- Disability and death benefits.
- Home transport in case of serious illness, extensive personal injury or death.
- Property damage or loss (only in Sweden), i.e. compensation is paid for any damage to, or loss of, personal property up to SEK 20 000. The insurance deductible* for property claims is SEK 1 500.
- Liability and legal expenses.
student IN applies:
- 24 hours a day during your study period in Sweden as well as two weeks prior to the start and two weeks after the end of that study period.
- During direct travel between the home country and Sweden.
- During the summer, provided that your studies in Sweden continue after the summer.
- In the Schengen region, provided that you hold a Schengen visa issued by a Swedish mission abroad.
- For an accident that is covered by the Personal injury insurance.
- For students covered by the ETHIC
Students who are required to pay tuition fees, including students who are granted a scholarship, are covered by FAS plus. This insurance covers:
- Emergency medical care in case of illness or accident.
