Minister for Energy and Minerals, Professor Sospeter Muhongo, said the use of natural gas in electricity production in the country will reach between economy that would be manufacturing.
Speaking at a session of the conclusions of his five-day visit in Kigoma, with government officials and government institutions that are under his ministry, Muhongo said for now sure to have reliable electricity from natural gas exists.
He said various electrical projects implemented in the country is an example that the intent of the government that the country's industry and economy between practicable. He asked citizens to prepare to use the opportunities generated by the presence of many industries in the country.
Describing it, Professor Muhongo said studies have shown already existing natural gas Ruvu in Coast region has the potential to generate 10,000 megawatts, whose electricity with the use of the land may be sold out by national currency.
Regarding the implementation of rural electrification projects, said the government was satisfied with the implementation of the project and that the main task of exporting electricity to various rural areas has been completed.
